What we can focus on together

Together, we will work towards ensuring safety within our community, schools, parks, roadways, buildings, and infrastructure. It is my goal to work with other members of the City of Coral Springs Commission to see that we continue to keep Coral Springs not only beautiful, but a safe place to live.

Issues I will focus on

Work closely with all city officials, county officials, local law enforcement, non-profit and private organizations, and groups to ensure that the school safety plans are in-place and funded. In addition, all relevant personnel receive the proper training.

  • See that our Parks and Recreation continue to grow and thrive, making them the premier parks in the county.

  • Mental health within the community.

  • Making Coral Springs a fun place for both adults and children.

  • Making sure the beautification of our city is superior to any other city.

  • Finding a way to have our children return to Coral Springs and live affordably.

  • Affordable housing for city employees.

  • Support our military veterans with mental health resources.

Moving to Coral Springs from New Jersey was a choice my parents made in 1994. They selected Coral Springs for its beauty, parks, active lifestyle, and small-town feeling. I am a family man, and my family is very active in the community. My 13-year-old son Cole is currently playing travel ice hockey for the Florida Junior Panthers, and I referee youth and adult hockey at the Ice Den. I am extremely blessed to call Coral Springs my home, and that is why, when I retire as a law enforcement officer this year, I want to continue to be a part of this amazing city as your commissioner.

Protecting and Serving Our Great City For Over 27 Years!

About Me

I moved to Coral Springs in 1994 where I began my law enforcement career with the Miami-Dade Police Department. In 1996 I applied for and was hired by the City of Coral Springs Police Department as a Road Patrol Officer. As a patrol officer, I was selected to be a Field Training Officer. I valued that selection because I feel that a Field Training Officer is an essential part of an agency. I had the opportunity to train numerous officers before being selected to the Traffic Unit in 2001. In 2005, I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. As a Sergeant, I was selected as a Field Training Sergeant and participated in several boards (use of force, new hire, accident review). In 2007, I was transferred to the Training Unit and selected as the department’s public information officer. As the department’s public information officer, I maintained an outstanding working relationship with our local media. In 2010, I was promoted to my current rank of Lieutenant. I have had the opportunity to serve on patrol as well as the administrative lieutenant. I currently oversee specials events, fleet, and our body camera program. In addition, I sit on the Development Review Committee for the city. As the administrative lieutenant, I had the opportunity to work closely with our administration, city officials and department heads.

Throughout my life, I have shrived to adhere to the highest standards and professional ethics. I have developed a reputation of being honest and fair among my supervisors and peers. I believe our city’s greatest assets are our personnel and residents. I am extremely open-minded and never rush to decisions. Every assignment given to me in my current position has always been completed with positive results and the city’s best interest as my priority.

During my 27 plus years of protecting and serving our city, I have developed many close relationships with business owners, residents and employees that will be an asset to my success as a commissioner.
